Progress Park
Ramblers and the occasional prewar Craftsman
Homes in Progress Park benefit from their proximity to the old downtown area, as many are more architecturally interesting and historic than you typically find in modern subdivisions. Smaller, ranch-style and midcentury modern homes from the postwar period predominate, listing in the range of $500,000 for a three-bedroom. Every so often, a lovely prewar Craftsman with three bedrooms will come on the market for under $600,000, featuring original shingles and painted half-timbering. On the eastern, more suburban side of Progress Park, home buyers may find postwar Tudor-style mansions with sprawling wings on acre-sized lots in the range of $1.5 million. One of the top 5 districts in the state
