Vintage Reserve
Close to major interstates, buses and airports
Interstates 15 and 215, known as the 15 and the 215 freeways, run alongside the neighborhood and serve as major routes throughout the Inland Empire. The 15 freeway leads to San Diego, 66 miles southwest, and Los Angeles, 85 miles northwest. “If you’re hitting these roads in the morning or at the end of the day, there can be higher volumes of traffic,” Spillman-Malone says. “Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., you won’t have any issues.” Though most residents get around by car, Riverside Transit Agency buses stop along Margarita Road and in neighboring communities. The McClellan-Palomar Airport operates nearly 42 miles away and offers limited domestic service, while the San Diego International Airport is about 20 miles farther south and has a wider variety of destinations.Spanish Revivals and Mediterranean styles dominate local housing market
Homes in Vintage Reserve feature red-tiled roofs — many with solar panels — and stucco facades in neutral colors. Single-family Spanish Revivals and Mediterranean-style homes typically sell between $550,000 and $1 million, with the priciest options often featuring private pools, patios and firepits. Sidewalks are framed by palm trees on the neighborhood’s wide roads. Most properties have driveways large enough to fit recreational vehicles, and there's minimal on-street parking.Nearby outdoor recreation spaces on both land and water
The neighborhood has a few parks with a wide array of amenities. The Vintage Reserve and Torrey Pines parks both feature playgrounds, fields, walking paths and barbecue grills. Torrey Pines also has a dog park, with separate spaces for small and large pups. Winchester Creek Park has additional athletic facilities, including sand volleyball and basketball courts. A couple miles north, tee times are available for online booking at the Golf Club at Rancho California’s driving range and 18-hole, par 72 course. It can take about an hour to reach the coast, but waterfront recreation is available close by at Pond Park, which permits catch-and-release fishing, and visitors of Harveston Lake Park can rent paddleboats.Shopping at Promenade Temecula and dining near downtown Murrieta
Though Vintage Reserve has a shopping center off Margarita Road with convenience stores, fast-food spots and other services, most commercial development is closer to downtown Murrieta and in Temecula. About 2 miles south, the Promenade Temecula mall offers a mix of retail, restaurants and entertainment. Shoppers can head to the plazas off Murrieta Hot Springs and Winchester roads for big-box grocers, such as Albertsons, Trader Joe’s and Vons. Some highly rated restaurants nearby include Richie’s Real American Diner and the Sizzler steakhouse, both just a few miles away.A-rated public schools in Vintage Reserve

Santa visits during the holiday season, and local vendors and musicians set up downtown on the first and third Thursdays of every month for Murrieta Market Nights. The Tour de Murrieta bike race is a two-day spectacle each spring, and 2025 marks the competition’s 20th anniversary.
