The $51.5 million sale of real estate agent Oren Alexander's waterfront Miami Beach house is one of the city’s priciest sales so far this year.

An undisclosed buyer purchased the two-story house at 2135 Lake Ave., according to tax records, which recorded the sale on June 18. The 11,622-square-foot house sits on half an acre with views of Biscayne Bay. Built in 2024, the modern-style residence has seven bedrooms, nine-and-a-half baths, a dock and pool.

The sale comes as Alexander, 37, and his two brothers face sex crime charges, which they have vehemently denied. Their attorney, Isabelle Kirshner, a partner at Manhattan-based Clayman Rosenberg Kirshner & Linder, did not immediately respond to a request to comment.

The sale shows demand for turnkey waterfront residences, said Ana Bozovic, the founder of Analytics Miami, a real estate data and consultancy firm.

“It speaks to the inherent scarcity of Miami Beach waterfront. You can’t build more of it,” Bozovic said.

Alexander’s sale ranks as the fourth priciest transaction for a single-family home in Miami Beach since January, according to Bozovic, who compared single-family home sales for the city on the Multiple Listing Service. Billionaire real estate developer Vlad Doronin’s sale of his Miami Beach house tops the list at $120 million for both the city and Miami-Dade County.

The identity of the buyer remains hidden under a trust, 2135 Lake Trust, a name similar to the LLC Alexander used to purchase the house in 2021 — 2135 Lake LLC — from his father’s development company. Alexander bought the site for $10 million in 2020, demolished the existing residence, and completed construction of his modern-style house last year.

Alexander’s mother, Orly , signed the transaction. Steven Garellek, the lawyer representing the trust, declined to comment.

Dennis Eisinger, a founding partner at Eisinger Law in Hollywood, Florida, said people facing criminal cases often go on to sell or try to protect their assets from possible claimants in court proceedings. Florida statutes protect the right of those in jail to sell their property and pocket money from the sale. Eisinger is not affiliated with the case.
