A listing in rural South New Jersey features a large modern home with two fireplaces, a four-car garage and an in-ground pool. However, perhaps its most uncommon feature is a track in the backyard that the current owner created for riding dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles.

And while the track is certainly a distinct feature, that is not the main amenity drawing attention from potential buyers, Kevin Steiger, the property's listing agent, told Homes.com.

"Most people are more intrigued by the house because it’s laid out so well," said Steiger of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty.

The home in Ringoes, which is listed for $1.7 million, has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms across 5,600 square feet. Built in 2005, it has a wraparound porch and Brazilian cherry hardwood floors in the living room. The property sits in a section of New Jersey that's quiet and near the Pennsylvania border.

Ringoes is a tiny community within East Amwell Township, New Jersey — a suburb of Princeton, but also a place many Philadelphia transplants call home. Ringoes, known for its wineries and historic buildings, is roughly seven miles from the Delaware River.

As of June 30, Ringoes had a dozen other properties on the market — including a two-bedroom, two-bathroom Cape Cod for $550,000 on County Road 579, a Colonial for $1.4 million on Back Brook Road, and a ranch-style property for $499,000 on Lindbergh Road.

Ringoes is in Hunterdon County, where median home sales prices fell 7.7% to $660,002 year-over-year in May, according to New Jersey Realtors data.

Whoever buys 80 Linvale Road will have plenty of privacy, Steiger said. The owner purposely had the home built on a nine-acre lot because he wanted space to enjoy one of his favorite hobbies without disturbing neighbors.

"Nobody was going to complain about the sounds because there's no one around," Steiger said. "It's peaceful. We're close to Princeton, but it's out in the woods."

The owner is "a motocross guy" and an engineer who spent his career building commercial developments, Steiger said. The owner is retired now, and he is selling this property so he can spend more time at his Florida home, Steiger said.

The owner used a bulldozer that he owns to carve out the dirt bike track. One of the owner's favorite memories living at the home was going out back and riding with his adult son, Steiger said. Though retired, the owner still rides today and plans to build another track in Florida, Steiger added.

The Ringoes home would be ideal for someone who has kids that do motocross or another dirt bike enthusiast, but the track can be erased, Steiger said. The downside: it would likely cost the new homeowner between $10,000 and $15,000 to have the land smoothed, Steiger said.
