Set 20 miles west of Phoenix and beside the Estrella Mountains, the growing city of Avondale has a suburban vibe and lower home prices than neighboring cities. “I think the main draw here is the cost of homes versus the location,” says Aaron Carlson, a Realtor with Weichert, Realtors-Home Pro Realty, who has over 10 years of experience. “You would probably pay more money to live in Goodyear, but this is actually closer to Phoenix.” Since the early 21st century, the city has boomed with residential and commercial growth. “We came out here in 2004.
