Why Live in Barlow

Barlow is a rural neighborhood characterized by farms and newly developed subdivisions, located less than 2 miles from Canby and approximately 26 miles from Downtown Portland. The area features farm-style properties with acreage and new traditional homes with Craftsman architecture built throughout the early 2000s. Residents enjoy shaded outdoor living areas and generous lots, with some homes situated on more than an acre of land. Molalla River State Park, located at the northern end of Barlow, offers hiking trails, a boat launch, and one of the Willamette Valley’s largest blue heron rookeries. Pat’s Acres Racing Complex provides go-kart racing on a track full of twists and curves. Dining options in Barlow are limited, but nearby Aurora and Canby offer a variety of restaurants, including Fir Point Farms and The Wild Hare Saloon. Fir Point Farms also hosts an annual Harvest Festival every October, featuring a U-pick pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay wagon rides, bounce houses, and a petting zoo. Pacific Highway (Route 99E) connects Barlow to Canby, Oregon City, and Portland, while Interstate 5 offers a faster route to downtown Portland, about 25 miles away.
