Like other cities with an industrial past, Beloit, Wisconsin, has faced challenges moving on from that history. For much of the 1900s, Beloit was home to various industries along the Rock River. When those jobs went away, the downtown suffered. Within the past ten years, that area has significantly transformed by repurposing old buildings.
