Freedom is a quaint neighborhood located along the Ohio River in Beaver County, about 25 miles north of Pittsburgh. Known for its historical significance, Freedom was once a prominent steamboat-building town and is home to the Norfolk Southern Conway Yard, a notable freight yard. The Capt. William Vicary House, a Colonial Revival-style mansion built in 1826, serves as a historic house museum and a key architectural landmark.
