The Central Valley city of Lathrop is a small but growing bedroom community 10 miles south of Stockton. A report published by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2024 revealed that Lathrop was one of California’s fastest-growing cities; in 2023 alone, the city saw a nearly 14% population increase.
