Coastal Anchorage neighborhood with modest and luxury homes

Located on the coast of the Turnagain Arm, Bayshore/Klatt is an aptly named neighborhood that is one of the most desirable in Anchorage. Residents here can enjoy scenic views of the water from their homes or one of the many parks in this established community. "Bayshore began development in the early 1980s and since then, there have been other developments that are very attractive," says Connie Yoshimura, owner and broker of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Alaska Realty. "They have excellent schools. The ground is very good, generally speaking. There are no wetlands. It's a sunny area of town." Known simply as Bayshore among residents, this neighborhood is full of sprawling new traditional homes on tree-covered lots, adding serenity to the area. However, with major highways and daily conveniences nearby, Bayshore is a well-rounded Anchorage neighborhood.
