The dense but quiet community of Del Mar Parkway
Del Mar Parkway is one of Aurora's first neighborhoods. Like much of the city, the area has a rich military heritage as housing tracts were laid for service members at Lowry Air Force Base in the late 40s. These post-war constructions, such as low-profile bungalows and ranch-style dwellings, define Del Mark Parkway's inventory. Though home to quiet streets, residents have ample access to surrounding attractions and daily amenities.

Historical ranch-style homes
The grid-like residential streets of Del Mar Parkway are home to modest sidewalks, which share space with cars found parked along the road. Mature bur oak and evergreen trees are found in the modest front yards of the community, typically found along the sidewalks. One-car driveways lead to the ranch-style and occasional bungalow homes that make up the community. Most of these homes have light exteriors, feature wooden fenced-in backyards and sit somewhat close to one another. Almost all of the homes were constructed throughout the 1950s and range in price from $300,000 for a two-bedroom home to upwards of $600,000 for a larger five-bedroom house.
