Calabasas Road and the 101 are the primary retail corridors. The Commons at Calabasas is home to a Ralphs, high-end retail stores, and local and chain restaurants. Commutable to Los Angeles
Cheesecake Factory and Harbor Freight Tools have offices in Calabasas, which are major employers in the area. However, many residents work in Los Angeles, which is 30 miles east via the 101. Most residents drive in town or when commuting, but a bus route operated by LA Metro connects the cities. The seasonal Beach Bus makes the 25-mile trek south to Malibu.
