Take the light rail to Downtown Denver
Adams Heights is in the middle of three major thoroughfares, Interstate 270, Interstate 76, and U.S. Route 6, all of which cut through and Denver and to points beyond.. Downtown Denver is approximately 8 miles south, reachable in about 15 minutes by car. Public transportation is available both through the RTD bus system, and the light rail. The Commerce City–72nd Avenue Station on the N Line commuter rail is about a mile outside of the neighborhood and offers service to Denver's Union Station. Employment opportunities exist in nearby industrial areas, including logistics companies, manufacturing facilities, and the Suncor Energy Refinery. Those looking to travel farther can do so thanks to the nearby Denver International Airport, which sits just over 17 miles from the neighborhood.

Nearby options that don't require a commute
There's a King Soopers grocery store a mile away on Route 6 and Mi Pueblo Market is about 2 miles away. The Mile High Flea Market, is 4 miles north off of I-76. Within the neighborhood Adams Heights Park is a small triangular greenspace with a playground. Veterans Memorial Park offers playgrounds and picnic areas, and is right next to Eagle Pointe Recreation Center, which features an indoor swimming pool, dance studio and a game room. The recently-renovated Pioneer Park has sports fields, a skate park and a BMX track. It also has a spray ground that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
For a more rugged outing the nearby Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is less than 5 miles to the east. The park spans over 15,000 acres and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing, hiking trails, and fishing. The refuge is home to bison, deer, and various bird species. Dicks Sporting Goods Park, a 4-mile drive away, hosts professional soccer matches and community events. With a quick commute to Denver, residents can spend the day exploring the Denver Aquarium or Zoo and catch a Rockies game at Coors Field.
