Eagle Ridge is a golf course community with a prime location, about 10 miles south of Downtown Fort Myers. “The city has like 50 golf courses, but I always tell people Eagle Ridge is a great one to live on if you want a casual and convenient lifestyle,” says Linda Dwyer, a sales associate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty who has sold several houses in the area. Locals often spend their days playing in golf leagues with their neighbors, driving golf carts along palm tree-lined streets and hanging out at HOA-maintained recreational spaces. The neighborhood is also near Southwest Florida International Airport, MLB training centers and several major thoroughfares, like County Road 876, locally known as Daniels Parkway. “A lot of families and retired folks move here because it’s near the center of Fort Myers’ action, but the neighborhood itself is really quiet,” Dwyer says.

Condo buildings and New Traditional single-family homes line Eagle Ridge’s winding roads and cul-de-sacs. Some houses have Mediterranean and Spanish influences, like arched front doorways or terracotta-tiled roofs. Pine and palm trees often dot lawns, and some properties back up to the golf course. Two-bedroom condos typically start at around $180,000, while three-bedroom units typically reach $350,000. Single-family home prices can range from about $410,000 to $650,000. Small Lakes and native trees dot Eagle Ridge Golf Club’s 18-hole course, which offers public tee times and membership options. “There’s no fancy clubhouse or restaurant, but that simplicity keeps it from being a busy golf destination,” Dwyer says. Although residents aren’t required to join, many choose to. “It’s the social heart of the neighborhood,” Dwyer says. “People ask their neighbors to play a few rounds, or they join the leagues, and that’s how everyone gets to know each other.” Residents do have to pay monthly HOA fees to help maintain landscaping and recreational spaces, which include swimming pools, tennis courts and playgrounds.
Eagle Ridge has an 18 hole golf course with beautifully manicured greens.
At Eagle Ridge Lakes there are several tennis courts with markings for pickleball.
The private community within Eagle Ridge has its own HOA maintained pool and dock for viewing the lake.

MLB spring training facilities are nearby
The Minnesota Twins have spring training at the Lee Health Sports Complex near Eagle Ridge’s west side. The six-diamond facility is also home to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, a Minor League Baseball team. “People love living near that complex because watching any sort of baseball in Fort Myers is just as popular as golfing,” Dwyer says. JetBlue Park, about 5 miles east, hosts the Boston Red Sox’s spring training. Lakes Park, the city’s largest green space, is less than 6 miles west and has hiking paths, fishing spots and paddleboat launches. The white sand shoreline of Fort Myers Beach is about 15 miles south.
Nearby, the Lee Health Sports Complex is home to the Minnesota Twins spring training camp.
JetBlue Park at Fenway South is the site for the Red Sox Spring Training camp.

Lee County public schools get B-minus grades or higher
The School District of Lee County offers controlled open enrollment. Kids can attend Heights Elementary and Cypress Lake Middle, both of which earn B-pluses from Niche. Students may continue to B-minus-rated South Fort Myers High, where the career academy offers classes in fields like welding, TV production and business.

Several nearby highways reach downtown Fort Myers
Cars often share the road with golf carts in Eagle Ridge. “You’re more likely to see families on golf cart rides than going on walks,” Dwyer says. The neighborhood is east of state Route 739 and U.S. Route 41, both of which lead to Downtown Fort Myers. Interstate 75 runs along Florida's Gulf Coast just a few miles east, and Southwest Florida International Airport is about 8 miles away in the same direction.
Eagle Ridge residents can easily get around using the Lee Transit system services.
