Attractive homes that come with appealing convenience
A drive through Ridgemoor always feels grand. That comes with the territory in this Grand Rapids neighborhood, where seemingly every residential street features its own canopy of lofty trees. This greenery leads the way to a standout assortment of well-kept and spacious homes, that are all minutes from residents’ pick of retail amenities. And the prices these homes can sell for is perhaps the best part. “The value for that size home,” says local Realtor Susan Prins of Five Star Real Estate.
Space is easy to come by in Ridgemoor
A lot of Ridgemoor’s homes were constructed across the mid-20th century, an assortment of colonial-, ranch- and contemporary-style options. Expansive floor plans are one quality many houses around Ridgemoor share — it’s not uncommon to find homes here that push over 3,000 square feet. And though these houses have some age, quite a few have been updated or remodeled. Homes in Ridgemoor come with spacious lots, too, often at least one-fifth of an acre and up to more than half an acre. Lawns across the neighborhood are well-manicured, dotting with assorted trees and shrubbery, helping create a cozy setting around the area’s winding blocks. As sizable as homes here are, price tags regularly hover in the $300,000s, though they sometimes climb into the $400,000s and $500,000s. Some condos supplement the single-family homes in Ridgemoor, and those sell for prices in the $100,000s and $200,000s. Demand is high, too. “It’s all high demand when you have close proximity to Grand Rapids,” says Prins, who has been in real estate for over two decades.
