These connect to the Houston Bike Network, which leads to downtown or the 2,100-acre Bear Creek Pioneers Park. The bulk of shopping and dining options in Spring Shadows are located at the intersection of Kempwood Drive and Gessner Road. Texas favorite grocery chain H-E-B has an outpost here. Discount stores like Aldi, Walgreens, and several chain restaurants, including a Starbucks, share the four corners and adjacent blocks. Argentinian grocery and restaurant Pampa Grill and Market is one of the long-time neighborhood eateries that's given Spring Branch its reputation as a hub for cultural foods. Rodriguez says, "There's a new restaurant that just opened up across the street from us called Juarez that I've heard is pretty good, and there's a bunch of eateries around us that you eventually work your way around trying."Environmentally friendly events
The Spring Shadows Civic Association coordinates several environmentally focused events, such as Garbage Yard & Debris Pick up every Friday and Recycle Pick up every other Friday. Tree and Junk Waste Pick Up takes place on the 4th of every Friday. There is also a Spring Shadows Mom Club.Traveling with Interstate 10
There are highways in every direction at Spring Shadows. Residents can take Interstate 10 into downtown Houston, about an 18-mile drive away. The neighborhood is also located by Loop 610, where various trendy retail and restaurants are located.Important to know
