A quiet neighborhood on the edge of Indianapolis
Among acres of farmland, and about 13 miles away from the urban life of downtown Indianapolis, sits Raymond Park, where residents can have the best of both worlds. "It has great access to Interstate 465, which gets you easily around Indianapolis, and there is a park next to the neighborhood that has a unique indoor water park," says Charlene Brown, Real Estate Broker Associate with eXp Realty. This suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of Indianapolis gives residents a quiet, serene home while giving them plenty of opportunities for recreation and a quick commute to downtown for work or play.
Pick from rural or suburban in Raymond Park
Homes in the community differ in architectural styles depending on whether one lives in the north or south areas of the community. In the north, residents live in a more rural environment, where mid-20th century ranch-style homes sit on 1-acre lots. The streets here are lined with mature shade trees and rarely have sidewalks. In the south, residents live in a more suburban environment, where neo-eclectic houses were primarily built in the 1990s. There are trees here, but they are usually young and small. Sidewalks line the streets, offering walkability. Homes are typically closer together than the more rural parts of the neighborhood's northern end. Three-bedroom homes in the area can cost between $230,000 and $315,000. Three-bedroom houses range from $350,000 to $450,000.

There is also a lap pool and spa towards the back of the center for those who want a good workout or need to relax their mind. For more recreation and to bond with neighbors, residents hit the Indianapolis World Sports Park. The 46-acre park features a playground, basketball court and athletic fields perfect for a game of cricket, soccer and other field sports. The Marion County Fairgrounds is just south of the neighborhood. In the summer, residents enjoy the Marion County Fair, which features rodeos and livestock shows. With fair food in hand, residents enjoy watching their neighbors stuff their faces in the watermelon, hot dog and pizza eating contests.
