Off the grid living near Kingman
Walnut Creek is a secluded, unincorporated neighborhood where people enjoy their privacy. “The clients I have sold to in the area value being off the grid and enjoy the quiet of the dirt road lifestyle,” says Charmayne Keith of RE/MAX Preferred Professionals, who has over a decade of experience in the area. “It’s very rural, and there’s no HOA, which is what a lot of people in this area are looking for.” Many of the lots are equestrian properties, and homeowners ride horses through the desert countryside. Walnut Creek does not have a city police department, but the neighborhood has a CAP Crime Index score of 1 out of 10 compared to the national average of 4.

The single-family ranches feature driveways, multicar garages and tile roofs. Some with stables for the local horses. Homeowners have space, as lots are typically over an acre. Homes do not have grass yards but instead have cactus plants or rock gardens. Due to the extreme heat and arid climate, wildfires are prevalent in the area.
