Resort living along the lake
Residents of this community among the northern suburbs of Chicagoland might have few reasons to ever leave their own backyards if they’re seeking a resort getaway. Lake Barrington Shore is a condominium community in the village of Lake Barrington that is centered around a 96-acre lake that doubles as both a scenic neighborhood site and recreational meetup point. Adding to this gem is convenient access to several activities ranging from sailing and walks along sandy beaches to leisurely rounds of golf. The natural scenes alone are also enticing. Residents can spend their mornings on the shore by a willow tree enjoying a calming view of the rising mist, or occasionally spot deer amid the trees and snow-blanketed grounds during the winter. “I would say the most prominent thing about Lake Barrington Shores is that it does feel like a resort property. It has all kinds of amenities, with obviously the lake being the biggest one,” says Rhonda Starr, a broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, who’s made several sales in the Chicago area’s northern suburbs. “It’s a lovely lifestyle. It’s embedded around a golf course, as well. Maybe people who are from Illinois or from this area would know it feels a lot like Galena, with the mature trees and kind of winding roads. It’s really cool. You feel like you’re on a vacation when you go home.”
