High-end living in the Butler Chain of Lakes
Impressive waterfront homes, high-end golf courses and convenient proximity to Orlando define the Lake Tibet neighborhood. “Lake Tibet is centrally located in the Butler Chain of Lakes, and the area has prominent gated and golf course communities. There are highly rated schools, and residents are near attractions like restaurants, the airport and parks,” says Matt Tomaszewski, a Realtor with Corcoran Premier Realty who has over 20 years of experience serving central Florida. Residents have access to watersports and natural Florida preserves, but they also benefit from the vibrant entertainment and food scene in Orlando. Nestled between Orlando and Windermere, Lake Tibet is a relaxed, luxurious enclave.

Waterfront mansions in gated communities
While there are more modest properties in the eastern portion of the neighborhood, Lake Tibet primarily features impressive mansions in the gated communities of Isleworth and Keene’s Point. “Lakefront homes start in the millions and go up from there,” Tomaszewski says. The two luxury gated communities offer mansions with tropical, resort-inspired landscaping with waterfront and golf course access. Primarily built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, properties appear in Mediterranean-inspired and New Traditional designs. Most homes in these communities are priced between $1 million and $3 million, but there are sprawling mansions with pristine landscaping and private docks priced between $6 million and $8 million. In the lower price range, there are residential roads hosting renovated ranches built in the 1970s and 80s priced between $400,000 and $700,000.
Lake Tibet is known for larger mansions with boat slips, pools, and gated entrances.
Lake Tibet is also known for luxury homes on their own "islands".

Play a round of golf at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club
“There’s an appeal to outdoor living since there are great golf courses, parks and biking trails nearby,” Tomaszewski says. Golfers enjoy living next to highly regarded courses placed alongside sparkling lakes, like the Isleworth Golf and Country Club, which features an 18-hole golf course. At Keene’s Point, the Golden Bear Club hosts the 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. R. D. Keene Park hosts a boat ramp to access the Butler Chain of Lakes, as well as a shaded playground and soccer fields. For nature and wildlife walks, residents head to the Tibet-Butler Preserve, which hosts 3.6 miles of trails that wind through a pine-oak forest and a bayhead swamp. They can view displays and educational programs at the park’s learning center.

Enjoy fresh coffee and croissants from Le Café de Paris
Aside from country clubs, Lake Tibet is residential, though dining and shopping options are close by. Nearby grocery stores, like Publix and Trader Joe’s, stock everyday essentials. There are smaller shopping plazas close by, and residents drive 5 miles northeast to browse a large collection of high-end shops at The Mall at Millenia. There’s also the Disney Springs shopping complex, located 7 miles south. Popular eateries north of Lake Tibet include Le Café de Paris, which offers French brunch dishes like crepes and quiche, and Hawkers Asian Street Food, which serves an array of Asian cuisine. South of the neighborhood, locals start their day with pancakes from Keke’s Breakfast Café or enjoy classic American dishes in an elevated sports pub environment at American Social Orlando.

Festivals and events for every holiday at Disney Parks
Theme park enthusiasts have access to some of the most popular destinations in the world since Walt Disney World and Universal Studios are both about 10 miles from the neighborhood. Lake Tibet benefits from its position between Orlando and Windermere since residents are close to attractions in both areas. Windermere kicks off the holiday season with an annual holiday lights celebration at Town Square Park. Orlando hosts a range of events to capture every interest — there are art festivals, food and cultural celebrations at Disney’s Epcot and live music in Disney Springs.
Turnpike access connects Lake Tibet to Orlando
“That area is very central. Tampa and Daytona Beach are both an hour away, so people can easily travel to the eastern and western sides of Florida,” Tomaszewski says. In the neighborhood, country clubs are within walking distance, but residents rely on vehicles to go shopping or drive to work. Florida’s Turnpike creates the neighborhood’s northern edge and links with Interstate 4 to connect residents to greater Orlando.
