Suburban Chicago living with acres of parks and a sense of community
Anchored by gorgeous homes and acres of parkland is the tree-lined village of Lincolnwood, where residents get the best of suburban living on the northern outskirts of Chicago. The community offers modern conveniences, space and tranquility, all less than 15 miles from downtown. Lincolnwood was first established as "Tessville" in 1911 before the village's name was formally changed in 1936 by Henry Proesel, Lincolnwood's longest-serving mayor. Today, Lincolnwood residents enjoy a flourishing community with well-regarded schools, beloved parks and a host of shops and restaurants off Lincoln Avenue and at the popular Lincolnwood Town Center. Residents can't help but feel at home in Lincolnwood; a community sought out for its convenient location and small-town charm. “The sense of the community in Lincolnwood is obvious, and it is paired with collectivism shared among the townsfolk,” Mark Ahmad, a Broker with Century 21 Circle says.
