Forks Township
A mix of new construction, suburban and historic homes
Many homes in Forks Township are newly constructed colonial-style houses built after 2000 that can list for between $400,000 and $1 million. These homes often feature hardwood floors, open floorplans, large family or rec rooms, and private owner’s suites. Most include attached garages, back decks and landscaped patios. “The area built up quickly over the last 15 years,” says Desiree Carroll, a Realtor with Keller Williams Northampton, who has sold real estate in the Lehigh Valley since 2009. “Forks has some older sections, but most are new subdivisions, built in phases with single-family, active adult and townhouse sections going up separately.” Townhouses, many of which are part of 55-plus active adult communities, sell for between $180,000 and $450,000. Ranch-style homes, Cape Cods and colonial-style homes built before 2000, many with attached garages, finished basements and private backyards, are also available, priced from $170,000 to $600,000. Historic farmhouses dot the landscape, too, selling from $220,000 to $450,000. Forks also has two mobile home subdivisions with manufactured homes that run between $100,000 and $250,000.Public and trade schools serving Forks Township

One of the main shopping areas in Forks Township is on Sullivan Trail, beginning with the Giant grocery store. North of it are dozens of businesses and restaurants, including Wanderlust Beer Garden. “Almost all of Wanderlust is outdoors,” Mitman says. “You can order food and get your drinks from an Airstream trailer. Some of the tables are made from the flatbeds of pickup trucks. It’s kid-friendly with a playground and dog-friendly because it's outdoors.” The Riverside Barr and Grill features 15 acres of riverfront property along the Delaware River, another great outdoor space to enjoy music, sip a cocktail, and order a pizza, sandwich or burger. Indoors, the Leaf Cigar Bar, part of the Famous Smoke Shop on Kuebler Road, features a large selection of craft beer, wine, spirits and cigars. The bar also serves food from You Got Pork’d, a barbecue establishment that serves brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and homemade sides. There’s a Weis supermarket further north on Sullivan Trail. Beyond it, Klein Farms Dairy and Creamery sells raw milk, cheeses, yogurt, meats and produce to customers in season. Visitors can also purchase the ice cream and Italian ice made onsite and take tours to meet the farm’s animals.Town and country recreational areas in Forks

The creek is lined with parks and bikeways.” Golfers can fit in tee times at the Sawmill Golf Course along Little Bushkill Creek is an 18-hole course built by Dick Field, a local golfer.
