Golfers can hone their skills at various courses in the area, including Windyke Country Club, which offers tennis courts, pickleball courts and a swimming pool in addition to three golf courses.According to Harris, events and performances at the Germantown Community Theater are another local draw. The theater offers varied productions, spanning from comedies and dramas to musicals and children’s plays, with winter holiday shows in December.

Bill Morris Parkway, Winchester Road and Poplar Avenue connect Southern Shelby County to downtown Memphis, allowing locals to reach the heart of Memphis in around 30 minutes by car. The nearest airport, Memphis International, is 15 miles away and is a 25- to 30-minute drive on average.
