Three Lakes lives up to the name

Even though Three Lakes isn’t on the coast, life here is all about the water. “Why do people choose Three Lakes?” says Realtor Priscilla Ortega with NXT LVL Realty. “Lake life. They just fall in love with the water.” Houses line the lakes that give the neighborhood its name, with many offering boat launches and private docks. The neighborhood even allows motorized boats and Jet Skis. Three Lakes is also just minutes from all essential amenities and even borders Miami’s zoo.

Spanish Revival homes bring a coastal atmosphere

Living in Three Lakes often feels coastal, with pastel Spanish Revival single-family homes and townhouses on lawns dotted with palm trees. “Three Lakes attracts professionals from across the Miami area,” Ortega says. “They want a suburban lifestyle and are sold on the green lawns, well-maintained sidewalks and beautiful lake vistas.” In addition to lake access, many of the homeowners associations and gated communities have communal amenities, like pools and clubhouses. Single-family homes range between $550,000 and $900,000, with homes along the water and those with larger lots listing higher. Condos and townhomes price closer to $450,000. Homeowners association fees help cover the costs of community maintenance and gate security.

There are a lot of open positions available in various careers. The best employers are the hospitals and law offices but those are in another city. Most people travel at least an hour for higher paying jobs.

In my community, there is not much tolerance for much of anything. But, the people themselves are nice enough, I guess. I have seen more neighborly places.

Notification received today that "animal trapping will begin soon. " "Any loose PET will be trapped regardless whether it has a collar or not" What about if collar has owner's phone number- pleas try to reach owner first. Not sure community is moving in the right direction.. not so PET family friendly.
