Polo Park isn't just for horse enthsuiasts
On the surface, the Polo Park neighborhood looks pretty much like any other subdivision in Midland. There are no barns or stalls in backyards, no horse trails to walk along; just a series of charming brick homes, landscaped front yards and quiet suburban streets. But this little East Texas enclave does offer something many other communities don't: quick access to the Midland Polo Club, which hosts games and offers stall rentals.

Close to Cowboy Prime and other exciting new restaurants
Midland’s restaurant scene is booming, welcome news to local foodies. “In the past, people would pop onto the local Facebook page and ask, ‘Where do I go for fine dining?’ and I would chuckle,” says Bryan Grant, Executive Director of the Petroleum Museum and a Midland resident since 2020. “But now, we have some legitimate fine dining spots.” One of the buzziest new restaurants is Cowboy Prime, located about 3 miles from the neighborhood. The steakhouse, known for its executive chef Graham Elliot, of “MasterChef” fame, also serves seafood and sushi. Downtown Midland, about 5 miles away, also has a handful of popular, upscale restaurants, like Pi Social, which routinely draws crowds. There are also a handful of restaurants in the neighborhood, including The Blue Door, where locals can be found sipping cocktails with their furbabies at their feet. For shopping, residents head a few miles west along The Loop to pick up groceries at Market Street and essentials at Walmart and Target. The Midland Park Mall is another nearby popular spot for shopping, offering staples like Old Navy, Ulta and DICK’S Sporting Goods.
