Two championship golf courses
The neighborhood lives and breathes golf, and residents have two championship courses, each with distinct features. The preserve course is framed around native flora and fauna, and gentle coastal breezes drift through the swaying pines, providing a tranquil backdrop for a relaxing 18 holes. On the other hand, the Lake Course presents players with a little more challenge due to the water features on holes 16 and 18. Golfers looking to lower their handicap are surrounded by numerous resources, including PGA-led instruction, practice facilities, and a pro sho. Golf is the main attraction, but the recently renovated 12,000-square-foot wellness center offers year-round exercise programs, including yoga, Pilates and spinning classes. The indoor lagoon-style swimming pool is a great place to cool after a long workout. Court sports are also popular, and social and competitive play is available. And of course, a day on the beach is never far away as the sandy shores of Bonita Beach are just 10 miles to the west. “Quail West is a nonbundled community,” Kelly says. “You can get a house membership for amenities at the clubhouse and a golf membership as well.”

Quail West’s housing carries a heavy price tag and for good reason. One stroll down the neighborhood's winding streets will reveal large waterfront estates with lanais and pools. Homebuyers are not the only ones attracted to the remarkable architecture as certain residences have won awards, including the Sand Dollar Award, the esteemed accolade given by the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the Sales and Marketing Council (SMC). The neighborhood is entirely single-family, and large lots, often one to two acres, grant residents plenty of privacy in their expansive estates. Spanish and Mediterranean styles with tiled roofs are common and midcentury moderns can be found mixed in between. While the grandiose exteriors may bring in prospective homebuyers, the interior makes them stay. Many homes are craftly designed with marble floors, and some come with their own private movie room. Prices typically range between $3 million and $7 million, but custom-built Spanish villas can cost more than $10 million. The neighborhood is prone to hurricanes, but damage is limited due to its inland location.
