Home to a series of picturesque lakes and peaceful parks, New Brighton is a highly desirable city within Ramsey County. Known for its outdoor-oriented lifestyle and centralized location, New Brighton is comprised of five neighborhoods and a population of nearly 23,000 people. “We're situated at I-694 and 35-West, so residents and businesses have easy access to hotels, shopping centers and the downtowns of both the Twin Cities,” explains Craig Schlichting, Director of Community Assets and Development for New Brighton. Residents are attracted to New Brighton in part because “There’s so much outdoor recreation here,” says long-time local Liz Johnson, Realtor with RE/MAX Results. Adding "You’d be surprised that downtown Minneapolis is only a 10-minute drive away." Amenities like the beaches of Long Lake, the disc-golf course at Hansen Park or the public fairways at Brightwood Hills Golf Course, make this northern Minneapolis city dynamic. Priding itself on an excellent school district, a thriving outdoor recreation scene and a wide range of housing options, New Brighton has something for everyone.

New Brighton’s five communities –South Innsbruck/Highview, North Innsbruck/Rice Creek, New Brighton South, Pine Lake East and Downtown – are each unique and offer different types of housing options.
