Summergrove is a suburban community focused on recreation
Summergrove shines a light on recreation and relaxation. The suburban neighborhood offers golf course living and a mix of housing options that serve the needs of many homebuyers. The area is zoned for highly rated schools and is near major highways that grant access to the rest of Newnan — though residents don’t need to leave Summergrove to find things to do. “I have friends there, and they love taking walks in the morning or throwing their kayaks in the lake and floating around,” says Ellen Bush, a broker with Bush Real Estate. “It’s an awesome community.”
New Traditional and Craftsman-style homes sit along well-kept streets
New Traditional and Craftsman-style properties are prevalent throughout the community. Single-story residences can range from $300,000 to $575,000, while multi-level properties often run from $350,000 to $700,000, with select homes reaching $1 million. The area has a few townhomes that generally sell from $275,000 to $400,000. Bush says HOA fees vary by location but are usually around $700 per year. The neighborhood’s asphalt streets are well-paved, and sidewalks generally flank them on at least one side. Most residents park in their two-car garage or driveway instead of along the curb. Mailboxes typically sit on traditional posts.
Coweta County Schools and the Go West Early program
Students are served by Coweta County Schools. They can attend Newnan Crossing Elementary School, which has an A-minus Niche grade. Lee Middle School also gets an A-minus. East Coweta High School offers the Go West Early program, a way for students to dual enroll in classes at the University of West Georgia. It earns a B-plus rating.
Newnan Crossing Elementary School has a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1.
Lee Middle School is a safe learning environment for your young students.
Sharpsburg residents are extremely proud of their East Coweta students.

Access to golf, tennis, fishing and other perks, plus the LINC Trail
Summer Grove Golf Club features 18 holes of golf, a practice facility, tennis courts, a pool, and a clubhouse. The club takes public tee times while offering memberships that include other amenities. Residents can fish in Lake Summergrove, with catfish and crappie among the species available. The LINC Trail connects the city via multi-use trails that weave through green spaces. While the project is still under construction, the Summergrove section is complete. People can use it to get to The Newnan Centre, which hosts weddings and corporate and social events. Knoll Park provides playgrounds for different age groups. The Donald W. Nixon Centre for Performing and Visual Arts holds exhibitions, workshops and youth camps. The Church of the Highlands Newnan Campus runs several outreach programs, including a disaster response team.
Restaurants with international cuisine and Ashley Park shopping center
Restaurants close to the community include JaPaneck Frank Hibachi & Sushi House, which serves authentic Japanese cuisine in a casual environment. The Zokalo Mexicantina uses a robot to bring customers their food. Art & Jake’s Sports Bar & Grill blends a sports bar atmosphere with food typically found in an upscale eatery. Kroger and Publix Super Market are nearby. Ashley Park, an outdoor shopping center, has retail stores like Belk and Dillard’s in addition to restaurants. It is less than 5 miles from the neighborhood.
Traffic can cause slowdowns, but Interstate 85 is near
The community is close to Interstate 85. It is around 5 miles from Newnan’s city center, which has restaurants and shops, and about 30 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. “There are several entrances to the community, but most of them are off of Lower Fayetteville Road, and there’s a school there as well,” Bush says. “At high times of the day, there can be some traffic.” Tornadoes can affect the area. A 2021 storm caused heavy damage to Newnan, destroying homes and causing large trees to fall.
GreatSchools:
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
