As is often the case in the world of real estate, "location is a huge draw for homebuyers" to Warwick, says Chelle Greene, a Real Estate Sales Associate with Re/Max First. With its proximity to retail options and Lake Hefner, “there’s tons to do” in and around this small Oklahoma City neighborhood, says Greene, adding, “It’s even easy to hop on the interstate.”

Warwick’s interior residential streets are lined with large, closely spaced Traditional and ranch-style homes with manicured front lawns and gardens. Compared to neighborhoods closer to OKC’s urban core, Warwick is young. Many of Warwick’s brick and stone-clad homes were built in the latter half of the 20th century, between the 1980s and ‘90s. “It’s probably not the neighborhood to look in for your starter home,” says Greene, as “the average listing price here is well over the average for the city.” A four-bedroom Traditional-style home with an attached three-car garage starts at $400,000 in Warwick, nearly $200,000 more than the median list price for the greater OKC metro area.

Warwick’s location in northwestern OKC “can’t be beat for retail options,” Chelle Greene says. For everyday shopping, residents can head to the Warwick Crossing Shopping Center at the southwest corner of the neighborhood. Here, you’ll find your local Crest Foods and Walmart Neighborhood Market. Just a mile up Rockwell Avenue, there’s also the Rockwell Crossing Shopping Center and your local Homeland. If you don’t feel like making dinner after getting your grocery shopping done, head to the Garage Burgers and Beer. The Oklahoman-original chain is popular for its burgers and beers, and many of the eatery’s brews are regionally sourced.

For residents looking to take their shopping excursion from an everyday errand to a special event, the Quail Springs Mall is a quick 5-mile drive east down the Kilpatrick Turnpike. From department stores to homeware and jewelry shops, Quail Springs is the place to go for all kinds of retail therapy. Or, if you need a break from shopping, catch a movie at the AMC Theater. The mall is also home to the Blue Zoo Aquarium. The first aquarium in Oklahoma City, Blue Zoo offers interactive experiences and marine-life learning.

Warwick residents looking to enjoy the great outdoors are within just a few miles of several OKC parks. Lake Hefner is less than 2 miles south of the neighborhood and attracts people from around the city for its variety of recreation options. Though swimming is not permitted on the lake, nearly all other water sports are, from fishing and kayaking to paddle boarding and sailing. For landlubbers, there are 10 miles of paved trails circling the lake, perfect for walking, running or biking.

At the northern end of Lake Hefner, the heavily wooded Bluff Creek Park offers more rugged outdoor recreation with its hiking trails and outdoor exercise equipment. For youngsters, the colorful climbing structures and springy play surface at the Pat Murphy Park playground are perfect for burning off energy. Located in a clearing near the heart of Bluff Creek, grown-ups can enjoy the shaded benches circling the playground while their kids play.

When the bell rings, students in Warwick attend schools in the Putnam City Schools district. Less than a mile from most homes, Putnam City North High and Dennis Elementary School are nestled in the heart of the neighborhood. Ranked in the top 15 best high schools in the OKC metro by the US News and World Report, Putnam City North also boasts an overall B+ Niche grade. Putnam Panthers can choose from nearly 30 different extracurriculars, including everything from creative writing and art clubs to anime and e-sports online gaming clubs.
