Kids can attend Pittsburgh Langley K - 8, rated C-minus on Niche, and continue to Pittsburgh Brashear High, rated C-plus, to earn their diplomas. Pittsburgh Brashear High offers a computer science magnet program in which students take a deep dive into programming. Pittsburgh Classical Academy is also in town, offering a public magnet program for students in 6th through 8th grade. Pittsburgh Classical carries an overall C rating on Niche.
Crafton Heights locals navigate Pittsburgh’s City Steps as they move around the neighborhood. “Bridge access gives Crafton locals unique access to downtown,” Leitera says. These locals live less than 5 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh, a draw for many buyers who make a daily commute into the city. Steuben Street connects directly to the highway and the bridge connecting the west end to the busy business district. The Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) West Busway line makes stops on major connecting streets throughout the neighborhood for those who prefer a car-free ride around town.
