North Park is a suburban community in the foothills of the majestic San Bernardino Mountains. The area has long been a focal point of manufacturing and citriculture for the Inland Empire. Rows of homes with beautiful landscaping are close to major freeways and schools like the San Bernardino Campus of California State University.

Here you’ll find a community of traditional suburban tracts gently sloping along hillside avenues and around quiet cul-de-sacs. Elegant, landscaped lawns with blooming flowers and tall palm or leafy oak trees are a common sight, as Progressive Properties Realtor Jeff Teel says, "the homes here were built in the 60s and 70s and are well taken care of." The residential landscape features rows of single and multi-story single-family houses in various architectural styles and vibrant colors. The Spanish-revival style is one style with which many homes share design characteristics: stucco exteriors, terracotta tile roofing, balconies and outdoor spaces that are perfect for entertaining friends and family. Multi-story contemporary and single-story ranch-style houses are also a common sight in North Park, featuring a range of building materials and stylistic touches, including spacious interior floor plans and multi-car garages. Home prices for homes ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 square feet can be as high as $775,000, while homes between 1,200 and 2,500 square feet tend to cost around $450,000.

Public school students are served by the San Bernardino Unified School District, attending primary schools like North Park Elementary from kindergarten to sixth grade, which has an overall B Niche grade. Students move on to intermediate and secondary institutions like Shandin Hills Middle and Cajon High Schools. The latter high school is a part of the International Baccalaureate Organization and boasts championship-winning athletic programs, including a football team that has graduated NFL players for teams such as the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The California State University campus is renowned for its academic excellence, ranked by the Princeton Review as one of the top business schools in the world.

Memorial parks and national forests are just a short walk or drive down the street in North Park. Newberry Memorial Park is a small one-and-a-half-acre park with a playground and plenty of green space for a picnic or a friendly game of frisbee. Drive up the Rim of the World Highway into the San Bernardino National Forest, home to hundreds of miles of hiking trails, campgrounds and alpine getaway destinations like Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake.

North Park is also within a short drive of grocery shopping and regional dining establishments. Regional grocery stores like Cardenas Markets offer a range of imported ingredients and products, as well as fresh produce and other household essentials. Start your day with a sweet treat from Manna Donuts, offering racks of specialty donuts, breakfast sandwiches and coffee and fruit beverages. Lucy’s Mexican Restaurant is a local spot serving up hearty portions of classic Mexican dishes in a homey space decorated with artful murals. DJ Coffee Shop is a lively and popular neighborhood diner known for its hearty portions of American fare, including an all-day breakfast menu. As far as major shopping centers go, Jeff Teel says ,"freeway access puts major shopping around 25-30 minutes away."

Vibrant homes and serene natural surroundings, all with freeway access, give North Park residents the best of San Bernardino.
