Exciting developments in the accessible city of Stanton
A thriving community with a small-town feel, Stanton offers a blend of lush parks, everyday necessities and striking homes. “Stanton is an established community that has really upgraded its image in the last decade,” says local Realtor Jennifer Thomas with Seven Gables Real Estate, who has over 35 years of experience. “Lots of new construction is happening everywhere. Restaurants, shopping and mid-rise, mixed-use housing are making it a vibrant city.” Stanton students can attend schools in Garden Grove, as well, ensuring highly rated public education. The city's top selling point may be its convenience: it is situated adjacent to Anaheim and Garden Grove and 12 miles from Santa Ana, Downtown Orange and some of Southern California’s most popular beaches. Thomas says that with Highway 39, also known as Beach Boulevard, residents can easily get anywhere from the mountains to the ocean.

From Stanton’s mobile homes to million-dollar Spanish-inspired colonials
The city’s real estate is composed of ample Spanish-influenced architecture, including townhouses, condos, mid-century ranch-style homes and a smattering of larger Colonial Revivals. Condos in the area typically go for $400,000 to $600,000, while most single-family homes often start around $600,000 and climb over $1 million. Some of these homes sit in subdivisions and communities, such as Sunshine Village and Sienna. More affordable $100,00 to $300,000 two-to-three-bedroom homes can be found in mobile home parks. The city’s sunny streets are lined with modest but well-kept yards and gardens, their sidewalks shaded with palm trees. Lots are typically close together and many homes are sorted into organized grids.

Stanton events keep the city close
“Large neighborhood parks, libraries, senior events and sports are what truly bring the community together,” Thomas says. Stanton also holds city-wide events, such as the Halloween Festival, featuring games, costume contests and food trucks. In December, the city hosts a Christmas Tree Lighting with arts, crafts, live music and plenty of holiday cheer.
