Ways of life in Columbus Park
With its reservoir, hilly neighborhood streets and popular restaurants, Columbus Park is a small residential hot spot on the south side of Worcester. Locals living in Victorian-inspired dwellings and bungalows can walk out their front doors and down the sidewalks to a bar or a park in 5-10 minutes. Nearby Clark University also has an influence – students and professors live in houses behind wooden fences and big, overflowing trees. It’s a grassy residential area about 2 miles from downtown Worcester. “There are a lot of different routes for investors to take, whether they want to rent to young professionals or families,” says Otis Tati, a Worcester native and a Realtor with Excelsior Realty, “Since Clark University is so involved with the local school and neighborhood, investors buy around that area and rent properties to college students.”
