Originally a milling town on the Great Miami River, Miamitown has stayed quiet despite being 20 minutes outside Cincinnati. "Miamitown has a pretty cool location because it's right off Interstate 74," says Realtor Brian Leisgang, the team leader of The Leisgang Group with Keller Williams Advisors. "And the unique thing is that at any other exit, you'd find giant companies and stores. Here, you get off the highway, and it feels like you're back in the 1950s — there are all these old buildings and some mom-and-pop stores." Community events include a car show put on by the local historical society and summer fireworks at a nearby ball field. "More things will probably be developed here in the future because of the location," Leisgang says. Miamitown's streets have a rustic feel with mature trees, vintage homes and a lack of sidewalks. Most properties were built in the early 1900s, with some added later in the 1980s and 90s.
