New York ultraluxury broker Oren Alexander is taking a break from his company Official Partners days after it was reported there are rape and sexual assault allegations against him and his twin brother.

Alexander co-founded the high-end residential brokerage in 2022. He announced his hiatus in an Instagram post Tuesday.

"Out of respect for our customers and trusted colleagues, I have made the decision to take a pause from my work at [Official] as I shift my focus toward[] fighting these baseless civil claims," he said. "I look forward to clearing my name and rejoining my co-founders in continuing the incredible work we do on behalf of our clients."

According to two separate civil lawsuits filed in March in New York County Supreme Court, Alexander and his twin brother, Alon Alexander, are accused of raping two women in New York on two separate occasions in 2010 and 2012.

Oren Alexander started Official Partners alongside his brother Tal Alexander, who is not named in the lawsuit. Official Partners operates in New York, Florida, Colorado and California.

Oren and Tal Alexander got their start in real estate at the New York brokerage Douglas Elliman, spending more than a decade at the firm. The pair have closed $7 billion in deals in their career, according to the firm's website.

Neither Official Partners nor Oren Alexander's lawyer immediately responded to a CoStar News request for comment. Douglas Elliman declined to comment.

"I am confident that through review of the extensive evidence, including text messages and other communications, that the truth will be brought to light," Alexander wrote in his post.

The Real Deal earlier reported the allegations against Oren and Alon Alexander and Oren Alexander's announcement.
