Homes in Paradise Valley are a blend of new-build modern luxury and charming mid-20th century designs. The "Donut House" fits into the latter category — with a one-of-a-kind taste.
The name is apt: the rare circular-structure home, built in the early 1960s, has an opening in the middle. That spherical courtyard of sorts features a patio, grilling station, pool and Jacuzzi.

The 4,786-square-foot home, located at 6841 N. 58th Place, was not listed on the market before it sold on July 25 for $4.53 million.
Chris Karas of Compass represented both the buyer and seller in the deal. Karas told Homes.com that he sold the home to the previous owner just last year when it went for $4.2 million, according to Homes.com data. Karas did not disclose who bought the property.
"It's a complete circle with a center opened up for sun exposure," he said. "It's incredibly architecturally unique."
While the structure stands out, Karas said, the new owner was more drawn to the panoramic views of both Camelback and Mummy mountains and its status as a "non-hillside" lot, which offers an easier path to build in Paradise Valley. At 1.26 acres, this property has room for expansion.
The home counts four bedrooms and three bathrooms with bright pink featured prominently throughout on the walls and finishings.

The average home value in Paradise Valley is $915,570, well above the Phoenix metro's mark of $587,457 as of July. Nearly 6% of the inventory in the Paradise Valley neighborhood is homes valued above $2.4 million, compared to just over 1% across the Phoenix metro, according to Homes.com data.
Karas added that Paradise Valley is a seasonal market, and he expects the latter half of this year to show "very strong" activity, with a "nice influx of properties" slated to come on the market in the fall.
"We don't have a lot of inventory on the market," he said. "We've seen a lot of people waiting on the sidelines to see what else is coming."
