Abby Helander's story begins in the mountains of Sandpoint, Idaho, where she was born and raised in a family rooted in community values. Her parents owned a local athletic club, and growing up in that environment sparked Abby's deep love for wellness, connection, and supporting others, themes that would later shape her career and life philosophy. After high school, Abby pursued higher education at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, followed by her BA in Communication Sciences from Boise State University. She returned home to help her family navigate the sale and transition of their longtime business to the YMCA, a turning point that revealed her own drive to build something meaningful from the ground up. In January 2019, Abby earned her real estate license and launched Property by Helander. What began as a solo effort quickly evolved into a thriving business rooted in purpose and personal connection. In her first year, she sold 12 properties, totaling over $3.5 million in volume. Today, more than five years later, Abby has personally closed over 100 transactions, representing more than $50 million in residential and commercial real estate sales across North Idaho. To support the business's growth and ensure an enhanced client experience, Abby has welcomed two team members to the Property by Helander brand, enhancing both day-to-day operations and long-term impact. But Abby's work doesn't stop at the closing table. Deeply committed to giving back, she launched 7B Acts of Kindness. This hyperlocal initiative partners with individuals and small businesses to create meaningful, community-driven acts of service throughout the year.
