It was great being able to live an apartment style life for quite some time and have my landlord fix anything that came up around the house. Even though the whole time I had my apartment I really wanted a place of my own. However much I wanted my own place, the actual process of getting there felt daunting. Luckily we had a great realtor, Alan Brown, who set us up with the process. The first meeting was at his cool home office to set you at ease, and then somehow BBQ showed up for dinner! We set up our target areas and price range we wanted to meet, and Alan does not force you to get anything you do not want. After the first meeting the real fun started with seeing close to 25 houses. We were not willing to settle and neither was Alan. If we ever had any questions Alan would respond very quickly and address any concerns we had. If we knew we did not want the house Alan was very patient with the decision and was not gonna push anything we did not want. We finally found the house that we knew we belonged in and Alan had all the paperwork ready to go! Even though it was a lot of paperwork it did not see like it with Alan and was very organized and always was going after our lender or the seller to get the process where it needed to be. It was great having someone go to bat for you that you knew you could trust their judgement when you were not around. I would highly recommend Alan to go to bat for you when you make that choice and huge commitment to purchase your new home!

Extra very good! Alan was SO helpful, even though we had moved out of town! He made arrangements to show the house before the estate sale, and they staged the house beautifully. The biggest challenge was a few late Friday afternoon requests for documents; we did the best we could to respond. Alan helped us price the house just right. After just a couple days on the market, we had multiple offers to choose from. Then he gave great advice to help with the choice. He and my brother worked together well so that Mom could sign the documents without needing an extra 4 hour drive. A very pleasant experience.
