Her move from New York City to Hoboken, and later to the suburbs, led her to settle in Ho-Ho-Kus, where she has lived for over 16 years with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Tucker.

Alison is deeply involved in her community, having served as a Bergen County CASA, supporting children in foster care, and actively participating in local organizations such as the Northern Highlands Home and School Association, NH Lacrosse Booster Club, Ho-Ho-Kus Contemporary Club (Executive Board Treasurer), and Ho-Ho-Kus Youth Activities Council. She also volunteers with the Ho-Ho-Kus Home School Association.

When she's not working with clients or volunteering, Alison enjoys traveling, playing tennis, cooking, and spending time with her family.
