Allan Worrell began his professional career in 1977 as a farm manager at a bank in Springfield. He moved to Jacksonville in 1980 and served as head of a farm management department at a local bank. In 1995, Allan exercised his entrepreneurial spirit and started his own company in the spare bedroom of his home. Allan had a vision for bringing additional accessibility and responsiveness to the local ag investment community. As the company has diversified into rural real estate, auction and appraisal services over the years, the same commitment to operating differently – with the utmost integrity and respect for its clients – remains.
Allan specializes in land appraisals and land brokerage. He received his Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation in 1985 and has achieved the designation as an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC)*. Allan has nearly 40 years’ experience as an appraiser and is licensed through the State of Illinois as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
Allan has served as President of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and has chaired numerous State and National Committees. Allan was named the 2015 Illinois Farm & Land Broker of the Year by the Illinois Farm & Land Chapter of the REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI). Allan also served as President of the Illinois Chapter of the RLI in 2003.
As you can imagine, Allan has become a go-to-person for many in the area for all things land. His wealth of knowledge and experience are the foundation upon which Worrell Land Services was built.
Allen was raised on a grain and livestock farm in Scott County, Illinois. He and his wife, Janet, reside in Jacksonville and are the proud grandparents to three incredible grandchildren.
