After graduation from the University of Dayton in Ohio, she worked in advertising at Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather in New York City. She honed her marketing skills while employed by these two top firms, which she now utilizes daily as an agent.

After marrying, Allison lived in Bloomfield for 10 years before moving back to Montclair with her husband Bill and their now grown five children.
