We were introduced to Alvin in the Summer of 2010, and it was one of the best things that happened to us. While very unconventional as far as what has been considered the norm or status quo for the role a realtor plays in the home acquisition process; I truly feel that he is a trail blazer for the new realtor. He doesn't just sit there and wait for all the pieces to fall into place. He gets involved in every aspect of the purchase, knows people in every phase of the process, and is strong down the stretch.

My company has work in the Baton Rouge area and we were told to contact Alvin by co-workers that had met Alvin on their visit. He helped them find a home to lease and we were told he was thorough and thoughtful. That proved to be a correct assessment as Alvin was thorough finding homes in the area within the price range and locations we were interested in moving. Alvin has been very helpful in our relocation process which is always a task, especially when moving to an unfamiliar area. We would highly recomend Alvin to anyone thinking about moving to the Denham Springs area.

I grew up in Baton Rouge and trusted CJ Brown as an agent when it came time to sell my mother's home. I contacted CJ Brown by their contact us button and was presumably assigned a random agent. Luckily, I received Alvin Cain as an agent and he has been excellent to work with. I wrote a rather lengthy email explaining my situation (I live in Australia), and he addressed each question I listed in the email. This was particularly impressive because most people would only touch on one or two (due to the length of the email) and defer the rest to a later time. He has excellent attention to detail. He is very accessible and answers my questions quickly and accurately. I would absolutely recommend Alvin to a friend in need of a real estate expert.

To be completely honest, I chose C.J. Brown rather arbitrarily and had them assign a Realtor to me. As it turned out, I won a lottery of sorts - and really REALLY lucked out when I was paired up with Alvin. Alvin is incredibly hard working. From the first time I met him until now (a day before closing) Alvin has worked like mad at all hours of the day (WITHOUT me asking anything of him) to make this sale go forward and to keep me completely on top of everything - from inspections to teaching me about how this all works to negotiating to coordinating with every party imaginable (termite, contractor estimations, lenders, insurance, etc). On top of all that, you do not need to call him to know what is going on - he will call you regularly and make sure your mind is at ease and understand EVERYTHING that is going on. Alvin is enormously respectful of your taste and wishes in a home. He does not try to influence your decisions at all. Aside from all of that, he is a nice human being. Some realtors may be just as good, but they are not pleasant people and genuine people. Alvin is truly a nice person. I would give Alvin the highest endorsement possible and absolutely recommend him to anyone.
