About Amanda
Amanda has lived on the South Shore of Long Island for most of her life. It is no wonder the South Shore is where she frequently works with her clients. Amanda grew up in West Babylon, but it wasn't until she met her husband, Danny, in 2005 that she moved to Amityville. After completing her Master's Degree at Dowling College in Oakdale, they purchased Danny's childhood home in the Village of Amityville.
Amanda began her career as an Operations Manager at an Architectural Woodworking firm right in Amityville Village. After going through the process of buying her home in 2011, she became interested in real estate, and she decided to get her license. Once her 3rd child was born (Raegan is currently 8, Harrison is six, and Mackenzie is 4) she needed more flexibility, so she decided that real estate would become her full-time passion. Not only did this change provide for a more flexible schedule, but it allowed for more time to be a bigger part of her community. Amanda is on the School Board at her children's school, St. Martin of Tours; she is a member of the Amityville Planning Board as well as the Amityville Junior League.
Amanda has also always had a passion for health and wellness. In 2017 she added Certified Health Coach and Yoga Instructor to her resume. Having a healthy family is truly a priority for Amanda. She enjoys yoga, running with her Chocolate Lab, Graham, biking, and CrossFit. Exercising with a small community has brought some wonderful people and clients into her life and has been another great way to deepen her roots in the community. Currently, now that gyms are closed, she and her husband are hosting classes in their driveway to bring people together to exercise safely.
Amanda genuinely loves her job because she feels she helps people with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. She says, "A home purchase is a major milestone and can often be stressful, especially for first-time buyers. I like to spend time explaining the process and letting them know what lies ahead. It can ease the pressure and allow buyers to relax, trust the process and make better decisions." Amanda finds that many of the clients she works with become more than just buyers and sellers; they become wonderful friends. When Amanda is not working with her clients, she enjoys reading, skiing with her family, boating on the Great South Bay, and being a part of the wonderful community of family and friends she has in her hometown of Amityville.
