As a Philadelphia native and 4th generation Realtor® with advanced education and training in conflict, mediation and politics, Amy Cox provides her clients with insider knowledge of local real estate markets, expert negotiation skills, and a strategic approach to buying and selling real estate.
Amy obtained a PhD in Political Science from McGill University in Canada. After 10 years in higher education as a professor and director of a Master’s degree program in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, Amy left academia looking for a new challenge and, following in the footsteps of several generations of realtors and brokers in her family, became a real estate agent.
As a real estate agent, Amy loves the game: the hustle, the strategy, negotiations and the victory of getting her clients what they want at a good price. Her goals are to champion her clients’ wants and needs, get her clients the best deal, and be a supportive adviser and guide through one of the most important and stressful decisions in life.
Between Amy’s educational skills and training, teaching for 15 years, traveling to over 50 countries, working across diverse cultures, and advocating for social justice and change for 25+ years, there are very few situations that rattle her. She doesn’t get flustered easily and can maintain composure in any circumstance, which enables her to stay grounded and keep the focus on her clients, their needs, and keeping the transaction smooth for them. Amy has experienced a lot of success since moving into real estate 5 years ago with over $11 million in sales in the last 12 months. She is incredibly grateful for her success, her clients, and her mentors.
