A little about me. I have a Doctorate in Leadership, have spent 25 years as a college professor, and over 25 years of real estate experience including new home construction, renovation, restoration, realtor, & real estate broker associate. I’m a very proud mom of three grown children and ”Nana” to two amazing grandkids and two grandpups. We love hanging out together, spending time enjoying the outdoors and on our own home tranformations. It’s in the genes.
As long as I can remember, real estate has been ”my thing”. The credit for my passion goes to my grandfather, a lifelong carpenter and builder, who put a hammer in my hand when I was five years old,to help him with a building project on the home he built for my grand-mother. While advancing my education and career as a professor, I have had the opportunity to be on the frontline and active participant in buying, selling, building, and renovating existing homes and commercial property.
After more than twenty-years into my career as a professor, I became a real estate agent, and as soon as allowed, I obtained my broker license. I have swiftly built a reputation for enthusiastic service, creative problem-solving, and a personal touch. Real estate isn’t a job to me, and it was more than ”my thing”, it’s a passion to do what I love, to continue to educate in a new environment. My knowledge and understanding of real estate and construction is helpful. Equally helpful is the willingness to admit, and know what I don’t know. However, I’m always willing to seek out the answers. I believe in educating myself, as well those I work with.
So why am I a good candidate to be YOUR realtor?
First is Passion. The passion that I have for the real estate industry is something that I want to protect and share. Helping others to learn and understand builds self-confidence and motivation. With confidence and motivation comes passion.
Second is Experience. With over twenty years as a college professor, I have spent the majority of my life educating myself and educating others. I have demonstrated insight and confidence to provide leadership through challenging situations, and empower change.
Finally is Communication. Effective communication builds strong relationships. Emerging from strong relationships is trust and respect. My effective communication is demonstrated with the diverse relationships I have built with students, colleagues, community members, and clients that I have served over the last twenty five plus years.
I would welcome the opportunity to use my passion, experience, and communication as YOUR REAL ESTATE DOCTOR.
