My background: Originally from Lenexa, Kansas, I attended Shawnee Mission schools and earned a Bachelor's degree from Beloit College in Wisconsin. After a few years working in social services in KCK, I pivoted to a career in real estate in 2014. I've lived on both sides of the state line, in Johnson, Jackson and Wyandotte counties, so I have firsthand knowledge of KC neighborhoods (and a lot of local pride). What I'm really passionate about is quality housing for people at EVERY income level, and I have a special interest in first-generation homebuyers. I serve on the board of the Marlborough Community Land Trust, a local nonprofit creating homeownership opportunities for low-income families. Beyond keeping up with today's housing market, I also value learning the history of real estate: how the legacy of segregation continues to impact our neighborhoods today, policy solutions to right past wrongs, and sharing that knowledge with clients and coworkers.
