About Anita

Anita comes from a family of Realtors. Involved in Real Estate since 1994, Anita also grew up as Realtors’ daughter. Both parents were licensed in Arizona and the family emphasized the importance of buying Real Estate as investments. Many summers and weekends were spent fixing up rental property and improving investments. Her younger sister Jennifer Husting has built several homes and a barn, older sister, Lisa Anderson, is a Realtor in Connecticut and works in escrow in a law firm. Middle sister, Colette Kress is currently the CFO at Nvidia and earned CFO of the Year by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Anita is a single mother with a son and daughter in school. “My son’s new favorite game is Monopoly and he wins!” Teaching them the value of owning Real Estate.

Community involvement has always been an important part of Anita’s personal life. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of San Jose and was president of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Arizona, where she is an alumna. Her degree in Microbiology and Chemistry help make Anita a natural in analyzing numbers and reports.

As a designer, Anita’s background with her own remodels and building new construction has immensely helped her clients. Her knowledge of the city planning process, permit process, architectural contracts, and of course, pricing makes her a natural choice for anyone looking to purchase a home.

“If a Realtor hasn’t completed a remodel or done construction, how can they understand the value of a new or remodeled homes or estimate pricing for a client to make a home perfect for a new buyer?” Anita has vision and personally remodeled/built more than 10 full homes and 12 apartments in which she was the owner. She has also assisted, designed, or managed a remodel countless clients’ homes.

She states: “Sometimes it takes a good eye to see a home's charm". Since it is difficult to find the perfect home, buyers and sellers often use Anita as their Realtor for decorating, remodeling, or new construction ideas. Sellers see a value to having Anita point out to prospective buyers the hidden beauty in a home. Buyers benefit from Anita's vision and experience to find or create their dream home.
