Dorthe Havmoeller started her real estate career in 2001 with Keller Williams in Dallas, Texas, dealing primarily with residential real estate north of Dallas in the areas surrounding Preston Wood and Preston Trail Country Clubs. In 2003, after she moved back to Miami, Dorthe began working with Beachfront Realty in Miami, Florida specializing in private residences located north of downtown Miami and condos on Miami Beach. Then, she launched Havmoeller by Allen Tate Realtors as a real estate advisory firm for The Palisades Charlotte NC and surrounding areas in 2011.
Havmoeller by Allen Tate has grown leaps and bounds ever since she launched the business in 2011. This year the production was enough to be ranked in the top 1.5% in all of The United States. She has recently added a couple of realtors to support her, and we she is looking to officially establish Team Havmoeller by Allen Tate in 2022.
They continue to specialize in listing existing homes, assisting buyers of new construction homes, and buying homes for clients in The Palisades, Lake Wylie Waterfront, Regency at Palisades, Chapel Cove, The Sanctuary, Montreux, and North Reach, but they do also get hired to help buyers of new construction homes or existing listings in many other parts of greater Charlotte and as far north as Huntersville as well as many neighborhoods in South Carolina. Most of her buyers come from multiple states, including California, Texas, Arizona, New York, New England, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington DC.
Being successful in real estate is all about “living and breathing” the neighborhoods you serve. If you are passionate about where you live, it is easier to help families relocate and integrate well into their new surroundings.
Her children; Harrison who is 19 and Emma who is 21, had a great time growing up at The Palisades doing a variety of sports and where they built numerous friendships that will last a lifetime. All of them are still actively involved in sports activities such as golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, hiking, biking, and martial sports. Her three dogs; Tess, Jack, and Grace are also enjoying themselves. Tess thinks she is herding packs of deer on her morning walks until the whitetails turn around and chase Tess back towards her. Harrison is now 2/3 through his apprenticeship as a software engineer at SSI Schaefer in Steel Creek, and Emma is a senior at Appalachian State University where she is looking to double major in sustainable architecture and structural engineering.
Her husband; Jan, who is an avid golfer, tells Dorthe several times every week how much he appreciates their lifestyle and his friends at the country club, something she would never hear from him while they lived in Miami. He says, “With happiness comes good health and work productivity.”, and he has been correct so far.
