My husband and I were not sure what to expect in buying our first home. We wanted someone who wasn't trying to sell us any home to reach their commission, but wanted to sell us the home we wanted for ourselves. I work during the week so it was very difficult for me to work with any realtors because many were not flexible with their schedules, and others would ask me for my price range up front to see if they even wanted to work in my price range. (So rude). My husband and I agreed that we would keep our price range private until we found a property we liked to avoid being steered into a sales pitch or something we didn't want. We were driving around looking for listings on a Saturday afternoon and we saw that REmax was open. I popped in and found Ann was the only one working. She gave me listings for all houses through Remax and told me to get an idea of what I liked. She did not pressure me, did not ask my price range, and didn't ask who I was working with. I really liked this. I thought it would be good to see what the other agencies were offering too, but I kept being told about only houses in my price range that they were trying to make more money off of because they were hoping for motivated buyers (I like a deal so I am not going to pay more than something is worth). At this point the process was a nightmare and I almost gave up, that is, until I remembered the hard working lady at Remax who didn't seem to mind working weekends and working around her clients schedules. We didn't sign any agreement to only work with her, but she did make clear that she didn't want to steal anyone's clients out from under someone else and was only willing to work with ethical people, which I appreciated.

Ann is very familiar with the market and the buyers out there. We were mainly looking for an investor to purchase my home and her contacts were amazing! Very responsive to both me and my bank and I recommend her without reservation! 06/30/2014 - bonnieb.2179 Other service. Longview, WA

I gave Ann a call and she gave me another list and asked me what places we were going to look at and when! She just asked that I drove by the house first so that I would know if I really wanted to see the rest or not to save some time (completely understandable). I actually starting having fun and could imagine as getting a home as possible. It wasn't until 7 or 8 houses later that I made an offer, and then Ann asked me my price range and we discussed mortgage brokers and financing. I appreciated that she was respectful of my privacy and actually was professional in her approach of her clients, something sorely missing in our county. The house had a higher bid and was not the one, so we continued looking at others. We were set to make an offer on another house and we asked Ann if she had time in her schedule for us to bring our mothers to the house we made an offer on and she was able to accommodate us (very accommodating by the way, never any issues. I would ask to meet her very early or very late, on weekends, and she was always so friendly and helpful and easy to work with). We showed our mothers the house and while leaving saw another house we thought we liked to see although just by looking at the house from the street I thought there was no way we could afford it no matter how much it cost. :) The house was reasonably priced and we drew up the paperwork right away to make an offer. Once you make an offer the deadlines get so tight and although buying a house is a stressful process Ann did make things so much easier. We had the house inspected and Ann made sure that everything we wanted fixed was fixed before we moved in. The seller agreed to do a roof inspection and they didn't by the time the deal was set to close so Ann actually called to have this completed herself so that we could have peace of mind moving into our new home. She helped me to decide what a fair offer would be in return to the sellers listing price and we actually got the house for lower than what they were asking for. She also had a mortgage broker that she worked with, I'm sure many realtors do, but she was also very helpful and would work together in the process to get our things moving along so we were done with things before the deadlines. I was also able to close by the closing date and we were told this may not happen. I was nervous the day my house was set to close and when they said it may not close on time I called Ann and she said she would drive to the title company herself if she had to in order to get the papers there in time. And even when I moved in the first piece of mail I received was from Ann saying congrats on the new home, it was very sweet and thoughtful! So overall my experience has been wonderful and I could not have been more pleased. I recommend her to anyone looking for a home that wants no games and no hassle! 06/20/2013 - user61643618 Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $200K in Longview, WA.
