About Anna
The purchase or sale of a home can have many unexpected twists and turns. Those entering the market need someone by their side that is a good listener, a good guide, and that they can trust to always look out for their best interests. This is exactly what Anna does, no matter the job at hand. She uses her years of construction experience as well as her ability to see the potential in a space to aid her clients in manifesting the vision for their dream home. At the same time, she uses her negotiation and finance skills to help guide her clients in making smart real estate investments.
A Bay Area native, Anna graduated from UC Berkeley in 1993 and began her career in marketing at a San Francisco-based environmental consulting firm. She left that firm in 1996 to join a high-end residential construction company as their operations manager. During her nine years there, she worked with the owners on numerous real estate deals. She was involved in managing all aspects of the transactions, from lending to acquisition documents, construction, refinance, and eventual preparation for sale or property management. In addition, she negotiated construction contract language, managed the in-house accounting and was the first point of contact for clients. She was highly valued for her loyalty to the company, her dedication to each and every client, and her ability to seamlessly navigate challenging situations.
During those years, Anna also engaged in her own residential and commercial real estate investing. Having owned and managed her income properties for many years, she understands the complexities of the landlord/tenant climate in the Oakland area. She has also completed extensive remodels and/or ground-up construction of 12 homes to date. All of this is to say that Anna truly understands the market from the perspective of the buyer, the seller, the contractor, and the real estate professional.
After leaving the building industry, Anna went on to run her own successful business as a birth and postpartum doula. During that time, she was fortunate enough to work with over 250 families. Her clients hired her in large part for her ability to bring calm and humor into an often-intense situation, as well as her reputation for kind, skilled, and professional service. Anna brings all those same qualities to her work as a realtor.
Anna has lived in various parts of Oakland, Berkeley, and Albany over the last 23 years. The past 10 years have been spent in a home in Montclair that she and her husband tore down to the studs and brought back to life in all its mid-century glory.
